DR. FELICIA R. GOODMAN

Hello, and thank you for visiting my digital teaching profile! My name is Felicia Goodman - most of my students call me "Doctor G." - and I am a science teacher at South Cobb High School in the Cobb County School District. I come to teaching after a successful career working as a post-doctoral scientist in several biomedical research labs. I had been thinking about and actively pursuing opportunities to teach at various levels and institutions for years prior to discovering the Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship, which allowed me to improve my effectiveness as an educator and hone my core teaching skills by (1) earning an M.A.T. from Georgia State University in Secondary Science Education with a focus in Biology, and (2) through a year-long mentor relationship with senior instructors well-versed in science pedagogy. The work displayed here is from said student teaching experience at Cedar Grove High School in the Dekalb County School District.
